The areas in highlighted in blue are lands that have been protected by the Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program and its partners since 1990.  These sanctuaries conserve habitats such as wetlands, scrub, pine flatwoods, hydric hammock, beach dune and coastal hammocks and species such as the scrub jay, eastern indigo snake, bobcat, endangered mint plant, and so many more species.  Explore the EEL Program's web site for more information on the public access opportunities and passive recreation activities you can enjoy on these sanctuaries.
